SOLAR GATORS / CFD ANALYSIS

Cooling duct airflow.

Evaluating how a custom intake directs cooling air toward the battery pack.

01 / MODELING THE DUCT

Building the flow model.

I prepared duct geometry and developed an ANSYS Fluent model to evaluate velocity, pressure, and mass-flow performance.

The setup used a 30 mph velocity inlet and a pressure outlet. I refined the mesh and solver setup to achieve a converged solution.

Velocity contour through the cooling duct; the displayed scale is in inches per second.

02 / CONNECTING THE WORK

From the intake to the pack.

This study provided a foundation for my subsequent work on battery-pack airflow and heat transfer.
